The reason why I am making this petition to ban plastic bags is because Australia uses 3.92 billion plastic bags every year. These bags blow off boats and blows away from land fills and they get into water ways. Birds and other animals then think they are food and eat them and choke or get poisoned and die. Plastic is also non-biodegradable so they will be around forever. I think that this is really bad and that something should be done about it so that is why I have this petition so please sign this petition so that we can get rid of plastic bags forever.
